Original Print Fair
This year Oriel Canfas will be holding an Original Print Fair as part of their annual artist members exhibition. The Print fair will feature a selection of signed original prints by over twenty artists and printmakers from Cardiff, Swansea and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity to pick up original artworks at affordable prices with something to suit every taste and budget.

Judy Foote, company secretary to Old Library Artists who run Oriel Canfas Gallery urges people not to miss this unique opportunity to buy original unframed prints, Oriel Canfas is very pleased to host this Print Fair which promises to showcase a huge variety of original prints. This is a great chance for people to come and browse through artworks by local artists and printmakers as well as see this years mixed Christmas exhibition of members and invited artists.

The Strait of Anian An Exhibition of New Work By Adrian Paul Metcalfe 23 October – 20 November 2010

A number of large-scale oil paintings, a series of screen prints and new watercolours are included in the exhibition, none of which have been shown before. The large sculptural interpretation of Verrazzano’s ship ‘La Dauphine’ is also on display after been seen first in 2009 and more recently this year at the Taliesin Gallery in Swansea. Here the ship is presented sailing or emerging from a sea of old books alluding to its origins in written history, exploration, and fiction. The exhibition also sees the publication of a new book ‘The Search for Verrazzano’s Sea’ examining work produced in recent years.
